The Dragon Slayer: A Quest Through the Dark Forest
A short poem with rhythm and suspense, where a brave warrior battles a dragon in a dark forest

She walked through the forest dense and dark
With only the moonlight as her mark
She heard a rustle in the leaves nearby
And her heart began to quicken, oh my!
She clutched her sword with all her might
Ready to defend with all her might
For in this forest, dangers lay
And she had to make it through, come what may
She walked on with bated breath
Through the winding paths of death
Until she reached the clearing wide
And saw the creature on the other side
It was a dragon of great might
Its scales gleaming in the moon's light
She knew she had to slay the beast
Or be consumed by its fiery feast
She charged ahead with sword in hand
And fought the dragon, taking a stand
Their battle was fierce and long
Until the dragon's breath grew weak and gone
She stood triumphant, the dragon slain
And walked out of the forest, without a stain
For she knew that dangers lay ahead
And she had to stay strong, or be left for dead.
