Once deep in the forest,
lived the five-headed dragon,
interaction might lead to a sorest.
Traveling by circus wagon,
was the scared and frightened dragon.
***
Knowing, what people thought.
People ignored the dragon's cries.
Since they were taught,
don't look into their eyes.
They were given misinformation and lies.
***
Lovingly, the goddess played the lute,
capturing the dragon's heart.
The dragon wasn't a brute.
The dragon needed a new start.
Besides liking tarts, it was very smart.
***
The dragon was treated with kindness.
Never again, darkness and blindness.
It ended with the dragon's loving-kindness.
***
With people dropping their phoniness,
the dragon would no longer live in loneliness.
Writer's notes: Thank you for reading my dragon poem. When a dragon receives bad PR, one's music, love, and kindness brought about change.
Last week, Vocal Writing Prompts' post was to write a poem about a dragon. You can find information regarding the prompt here.
