The Dragonfly
Glimmering wings in sunlight’s gleam,
You dance upon the silver stream.
A flicker bright, a wisp, a spark,
Painting patterns through the dark.
With wings so thin yet strong and free,
You skim the water, wild and sleek.
A creature born of air and light,
A fleeting shadow, bold and bright.
Through summer’s haze and autumn’s gold,
Your ancient magic, quiet and old,
Speaks tales of time, of earth and sky,
In whispered songs as you drift by.
O dragonfly, with colors bold,
Your story in the air is told.
A moment’s grace, a flash, a sigh—
You live, you dance, you drift, you fly.Through reeds and ripples, soft and low,
You weave the tales the rivers know,
Of seasons turning, winds that cry,
Of days that fade and stars that die.
Yet in your flight, there’s something more—
A secret pulse, an ancient lore,
As if your wings recall the start,
The birth of light, the world’s first heart.
Bright dragonfly, swift as a dream,
You bridge the worlds, the seen, unseen.
A fleeting jewel, a ghostly trace,
A traveler lost in time and space.
And as you soar, I watch in awe,
A glimpse of life without a flaw.
A moment brief, yet vast and wide—
The world reflected in your glide.
