The Doll With The Homemade Skirts
He won something in the raffle
My hubby gave me $25.00 to buy three raffle tickets
He said, "I don't want to win anything, but put this in the raffle."
I thought, why doesn't he just donate then? Okay, well then
I am going to put those tickets in something, he won't win when
I see all the raffle items, I will choose something like a waffle,
or a monkey, or a doll. Then there she was, complete with skirts
~~
I told people what I did for the hubby, and added, I will get it if he wins
He won, and right away, he was not upset or displeased with me.
Instead, he said, "Which girl should I give it to?" I was you see
a bit disappointed he said that. After all, she had several skirts
that she could wear, and she is either Black or Native American.
And I love that. I haven't seen many dolls like her, she could be African.
~~
I was familiar with most of the raffle items. I hadn't yet seen the doll.
It will be on Monday when we pick her up. Too late today was the call.
I thought they were teasing me as she was too cute not to get many bids,
but it was true, and now the laughs were on me. It felt like two kids
struggling for a toy. And he was the boy accepting the doll, no joke.
I wouldn't have expected this from him. Just can't tell those menfolk!

Way to go on such a gamble in a way. Good job.
Oooo, a doll sounds so nice. I hope she's not creepy, lol
Hey, winning a raffle is exciting, <3
That fight is too cute, just like your poem, Denise!
