The Disordered 1.2

; or, I had a very META day today so I tried to embody the spirit of Astral Projection through this comic.

The Artist at work

First I set up my space, knowing that I wanted to draw myself as The Artist. So I posed for a selfie in the most genuine pose that reflects how I actually sit at my easel I could muster.

Staging a comic archive, inspired by Alison Bechdel

Then, I set up the scene. I love comics but am out of practice so I drew a bigger version of the opening panel before shrinking it down to comic size.

Drafts on drafts on drafts

Lather, rinse, repeat (as needed) sometimes it will feel like no draft will ever be final. That is part of why you love it.

Just a little teaser of something big and unruly I’m trying to work on.

I have an idea for a project that feels big and messy right now but I’m chipping away at it day by day. I’m thankful to have stumbled upon this creative space and I’m looking forward to sharing my artistic moments, meta or otherwise, with this community.

Blessings,
