The Dictionary

If you wrote a dictionary, would you explain A to Z

Or just explain how to get from A to B?

It might be about type

Or even tripe

Or maybe one where you don’t need sight

It could be about anything you like

You have the right to write

There might even be one about Pictionary

But would that be a dictionary?

There might be more words than you can count

It would probably weigh more than an ounce

The words would be ready to pounce

So many varieties and such a use to society

The meaning would take propriety

The definition is a condition

It should be in the right position

Make sure there is a preposition

Not just a word

But also include a verb

This will be superb

Maybe even a proverb

An adverb and an adjective

Don’t forget your objective

You might need to be selective

This might have been your elective

But I wouldn’t know

As I am not a detective

You will likely be protective

Such a tome will take time

It might even include some rhyme

But it should be fine

Just write another line

It will shine

I am gleaning that there will be much meaning

It is seeming that you are feeling

Everyone will be cheering

Hopefully you are hearing

It will be really appealing

This is not just fiction

But should include good diction

You see a depiction and write a description

It might even become an addiction

Hopefully it won’t be an affliction

Or even an illusion

This will be the conclusion

Hopefully, there won’t be too much confusion

Need to make a decision here

We should be clear

It is something dear

Nothing to fear

It could become visionary

Let’s use some discretion here
