The Devil in Disguise

A Tale of Obsession and Finding Strength in the Shadows

By Shwet Prabha BaiswarPublished about a year ago 1 min read

To the ones who sought a prince's grace,

But found a mask, a darker face,

You chased the charm, the shining light,

And fell into the endless night.

You wanted love, a tender dream,

But now you're trapped within his scheme.

Obsessed with fire, you can't let go,

Of a devil in disguise, you know.

Have faith, my love, don't lose your way,

For in his arms, though shadows play,

He’ll treat you like his favorite sin,

A twisted love you’re caught within.

His words, like poison, sweet and slow,

Wrap around, won't let you grow.

Yet even in this cruel embrace,

You’ll find the strength to leave this place.

The devil smiles, his grip is tight,

But stars are born from darkest night.

One day you'll rise, you'll break the chain,

And find the love that heals the pain.

So hold on, dear, the dawn will break,

The devil's hold, you’ll soon forsake.

For you deserve a love that's true,

Not a sin you can't undo.
