Cold winds do blow with strength.

Winter’s frost keeps Delawareans chilled.

She brings together a tough length

Of snow and ice, the season becomes filled.

At this first sight of frozen water breaking

They must gather together in the snow

As their bones continue shaking

It is important for them all to know.

By taking score on the winter days.

It is important for them to like it.

They keep into focus like walking a maze.

The Delawareans observe winter to be fit.

They chop, tread, cut, hike, burn and cook.

Never do they stop or get off the hook.
