There are dimensions that I do not miss:
The rolling eyes of grudging compromise
The petty insults to a source of bliss
The shredding of the polite, sweet disguise

The bored complaints about the lack of plans
The misery spawned by comparison
The bickering about the pots and pans
But now and then, we glimpsed a horizon

Roseate and blessed by laughing pleasure
A circuit formed by bad bodies conjoined
Communion too pure for thought to measure
Synthesis by rude alarm clocks purloined

A dream, a memory, a hot fiction
A luscious and ludic kind of friction

Nostalgia is a drug, isn’t it? Beautiful work thanks for my next poem idea. 😉
This was so smooth, and beautifully rhymed as always. Loved it!
