The dead talk

but who listens?

I do

I always have

Ever since I was a small boy

I could see them and hear them

Sometimes they would scare me

I would tell them to go away

Other times I would listen

To what they had to say

Some didn't know they were dead

Some didn't want to leave those they loved

But eventually they all went away

They stopped coming to me a few years ago

I don't know why

But that's okay

It's more peaceful this way.
