I am like the dying leaf blowing in the wind

I'm not sure where I am going to end up either

I have loved and lost so many people who were dear to me

And I grieve for them each day.

I also grive for my hopes and dreams that never came to be

and for the little boy inside who is still afraid of his past.

I am like the dying leaf blowing in the wind

Small and trembling in the mighty rush of wind we call life.

Life as we know is short and before long I will not exist

I am like the dying leaf in the wind

For I too, will soon blow away and be forgotten.
