What do you see

I am a pure crystal sphere.
I sit on a special stand.
Into me, people peer,
to see the future grand.
What is it that they see,
For there is nothing there?
They say things that will be,
when into me they stare.
Is it a trick of the mind,
to see things that will be?
To see into the depths of time.
Is a talent, you’ll agree.
I wonder, if it is cool.
or is it kind of funny?
Do they play them for a fool,
just to get a lot of money.
