The Coziest

The ultimate comfort zone.

There is a place I like to look

That is so simple to me.

I drag a blanket and a book

And engage in fantasy.

It is a corner, a lovely nook

That makes me so happy.

I can be an astronaut or a cook

Or be whatever I want to be.

When the story has me by the hook

I feel the most comfort when I see,

Some of the leaves in autumn have shook

From the great and aging oak tree.

And life is made to be what I took

From the stories that state with glee.

Even as I age with castle and rook

The chess game of life lets me be free.
