The Courage of Fragile Things

Strength isn’t always bold or free.

By Raymond BentumPublished about a year ago 1 min read

In the tender arc of a trembling leaf,

A quiet truth unfolds in brief.

Though winds may howl, and storms may sting,

There lies the courage of fragile things.

A spider’s web, spun in morning’s light,

Glints with resolve through the darkest night.

Its threads, so thin, yet fierce they cling,

A testament to the strength in fragile things.

The china cup, with its golden seams,

Mends its fractures, holds its dreams.

A story of cracks that learned to sing,

Of brokenness healed in fragile things.

A baby bird, with its fledgling flight,

Leaps from the edge, chases the light.

Its wings unsure, yet daring to spring,

The essence of bravery in fragile things.

So too, the heart that dares to feel,

Though scarred and weary, it learns to heal.

Its every beat, a phoenix’s wing,

Revealing the power of fragile things.

In life’s vast tapestry, we see,

Strength isn’t always bold or free.

It’s in the whispers, the quiet clings,

The courage found in fragile things.
