The Cosmic Race

W1

By James GreenPublished 3 years ago 1 min read

The two astronauts,

Their figures dressed in suits of white,

Soared through the endless expanse of space,

Their thrusters glowing with light.

They raced through fields of twinkling stars,

Their guide on this celestial ride,

And past the grand, glowing planets,

That orbited with pride.

Surrounded by a dreamy aura,

The pair flew through the night,

Their surroundings shifting, changing,

A beautiful and wondrous sight.

The stars stretched out before them,

Their radiance a sparkling sea,

While planets loomed, a swirling mass,

Of beauty and majesty.

Through fields of gas and dust and rock,

They flew with effortless grace,

Their goal the finish line ahead,

Their speed and skill their race.

In the end, both astronauts emerged,

Victorious, their triumph clear,

Their grins wide as they hugged in space,

Celebrating their success and cheer.

They floated in the aftermath,

Awed by the vast expanse,

Their minds filled with joy and wonder,

And the beauty of the celestial dance.
