The Colors of Love

I didn't think I'd love again

By Tinamarie PanzeraPublished 5 years ago 1 min read

There are all sorts of love in peoples lives.

There are all kinds of reasons to hate in peoples lies

I never thought I would heal the way that I did

Love always betrayed me and left me blank

I didn't have hope and saw all colors as black

As my life spiraled into hopelessness and loss

One person who you can think holds all the cards

Can in one swipe blind you into believing the worst in yourself.

You have to hold on to what is good and true

Or spiral down the hole that is before you

Grab onto the thing that you hold most dear

The colors start getting brighter by the year

First you see brown, it is lighter than black

Then you could see the red because anger was holding you back

When you believed those lies and remember what is true

Blue comes to mind to be calm and new

Go to the beach, relax and rejuvinate

Blue and Brown have new meaning now

Hold onto what is good in every aspect of your yourself

Don't let the past ruin your new life

Embrace your true self and know that all is well

For now the colors are brighter and you can see them in detail.

I remember the past and keep it there

I am thankful for my kids who keep me sane

Not the way I was thinking before

Holding onto my dreams and opening doors

inspirational
