SOUL
What is the color of SOUL?
Is it black and white keys to behold the keys to our musical tones?
Perhaps black and yellow,
The honey- bee?
The SOUL of the existence men.
Green?
The color of printed presidents,
The economy and the exchange of empty hands,
Ideas of Adam Smith’s idea of wealth in demand.
The SOUL of electricity, the white lightening,
The zap, zap, zap to start the rhythm of the human heart.
Red, that color of blood,
The color that connects all humans as one.
Black and white stripes dance in my head as I walk with the Beatles to Abby land.
Then the cross- roads with Robert paved with rocks,
All gray and dark,
Hoping with my next step to create a new start.
The color of SOUL, chaos, and clots,
Remorse enlightened with Doctors and charts.
The color of SOUL,
Weaved and pure,
Hope in all,
And in all endure.

For the Love of Wine
It was the big day. You know the one where you have decided to do what another may prefer for the mysterious blind date? Such as the commonere of painted finger- nails, well groomed, trying not to have splattered paint spats randomly here and there on my arms from my night before indulgence of creativity just trying to eliminate some of the before the date jitters. Especially, if I conjure up the courage to wear the shoulder less shirt that I thought was cool in a vintage kind of way but, felt like a lining back in. Wow, do I seriously want to go through this just to try and meet someone who can concur with me sometimes against odds? Let us not forget the wine factor as well. That will tell me a lot about this fellow. It is not about the drink of the wine. It is about understanding the concept that the wine needs and deserves a special environment depending on its mood and like me it is prone to random acts of mood swings. With this said, observation of the tiniest non-verbal act had to be one of their academy awards, everyday virtue. If not let us hope on their honorable act of solitude. Meaning to embrace the wines company, despite their lack of emotional conception of others around.

The Pride Flag and the Diversion
For nearly a decade, the LGBTQIA Pride Flag rippled in the wind at Christopher Park, a kaleidoscope of color staked into the soil of America’s first national monument to LGBTQIA+ liberation. That flag came down this week. Federal officials, citing new guidance from the Trump Administration, silently lowered the rainbow flag from its pole across the street from the Stonewall Inn. The birthplace of the modern gay rights movement now flies only the United States flag.
