The Color of Humanity

A poem of colors

By Claire SaldivarPublished 5 years ago 1 min read
Holi Festival, Vrindavan, India

I look around for something that is profound.

But I only see a world that has been bound.

People's faces,People's spaces

Divided with people's races.

Indifference, indignation, injustice is a black cloud that has us enshroud.

The world is a composition of hues meant to fuse.

A color symmetry that blissfully embraces humanity.

A chromaticity of flexibility, adaptability and sensitivity.

For when darkness brings light, a palette of colors are exposed.

And when colors are accepted, a palette of cultures are explored.

So let your colors shine, no matter your bloodline.

Let our world unite and our future will be bright.
