The Color of Absence

Faded Hues

My world used to be painted in vibrant hues,

A kaleidoscope of laughter, shared dreams, and views.

But your absence, a thief in the night,

Stole the colors, leaving everything pale and white.

Laughter that once soared like a joyous lark,

Is now a hollow echo, lost in the dark.

Sunlight filters through cracks in my heart,

Casting shadows where happiness used to start.

I search for remnants, like faded stains,

Of the warmth that once eased life's growing pains.

But the canvas is bare, stripped of its light,

Leaving me lost in the cold, lonely night.

Will the colors return, brighter and bold?

Can my heart learn to embrace a new mold?

Or will I forever wander, adrift and astray,

In a world washed clean of yesterday?
