The Clock That Ticks Inside My Chest

When your body tells time no calendar knows.

There's a clock inside my chest,

That skips when calm, pounds under stress.

It tells no time the world can hear,

Yet governs all I love and fear.

Each tick a word I cannot say,

Each tock a dream I push away.

This clock has hands but never rests—

It counts the ache that no one tests.
