The Clock

Poem

By Danny Prem kumarPublished about a year ago 1 min read

**The Clock**

Tick by tick, the clock does hum,

A steady beat, a quiet drum.

Each second falls, then slips away,

Marking moments, night and day.

Its hands, they circle, never still,

Obeying time’s relentless will.

Hours pass with silent grace,

Etching lines upon each face.

A whisper soft, a gentle chime,

Reminds us of the race with time.

Minutes vanish, hours fade,

Memories in the shadows laid.

Yet in its tick, a truth we find—

The present is a gift, unbind.

For every second, near or far,

Is fleeting as a falling star.
