The cliff face of of innocence ended

For my Sister Melanie

By Heath Francis DoolanPublished 5 years ago 1 min read

The world sleeps now

Weep upon her shoulder, my dear lost child

Lost you may be

Forgotten you are not

Though knots bind you, he will find you

At your lowest stem

Sunlight shall glaze your wondrous face

In a haze of swift glades of sun

Something new has begun

Before you were born

You were loved and adorned

Remember the sweet little one you once were

Where the world seemed so vivid

And your memories lay scattered like gemstones

On a still beach of unknowns

Loved from above through all of it

Yes! All of it!

Miracles you never even noticed kept you here

In the land of the living

Don't fade

Please remember how you were made

Sweet and remarkable

Every fabric of your being

You longed to stop seeing

A slave to the wave of unconscious living

Please take this hand now

I will be there always

That is my promise

You are exquisiteness unfounded

Resounding of outstanding

Now stand

And place your hand

In

mine.
