drift through days on an endless flight

Waiting for darkness, the Children of Night

Their souls are bound in the daylight hours

But, Mother Night sets them free with her mystical powers

During the day, they hear her calling

Under her spell, they soon will be falling

So, she calls to her children, the Children of Night

To take them away on a magical flight

Under the cover of darkness, safe and warm

She sweeps them away with her powerful charm

To a land far away, a land of dreams

Where they can dance on stars and chase moonbeams

Then she lulls them to sleep with her sweet lullaby

So, the Children of Night need never cry

For there in the darkness, just beyond day

Mother Night is waiting to take them away
