The ancients have offered their gifts,
to this artist, who trains mind, body and soul,
to enhance the realization of talents that have been given.
.
Talents, the ancient unit of money,
have been allotted in a random game of chance.
Though independently assorted, they often link to form allegiances.
.
Talents are a trusted medium of currency, used in exchange.
They maintain their value for eternity,
without some outside governing body assigning a value
that is not backed by a tangible commodity.
.
Talents are a currency that are worth their weight in gold.
Gold, an immutable substance is the bitcoin of God,
yet more powerful than digital innovations can reconstruct.
Talents are dependable, durable, and preserved,
.
Like gold, the presence of talents on Earth are limited,
No alchemist has found a way for how gold can be transmuted.
But it is known that gold is formed after tectonic shifts.
.
I am the cauldron who transforms the raw materials,
passed through eons of life.
I let them transmute with earthshaking volcanic eruptions.
Through conscious care, combinatorics and optimizations,
my talents can form pure golden fibres.
I measure, cut and weave them
into a life that aligns to my own moral compass.
.
Creating a malleable bubble of what is called me and mine,
I join the collective self : my, your, him, her, our and them.
I contribute to a greater essence that is uniquely mine.
My identity is tuned and tempered to test my limits.
I calibrate a trajectory by estimating long-term effects.
Small deviations increase over time.
.
I am a seed of the tree of life. Born from all my befores,
My roots, stems, branches, leaves and flower, now in full bloom,
will soon fade and die, but parts will be reborn again.
They will form concoctions and tinctures that can tint and flavour what is,
to heal and nourish what might come to be.

My stories usually present facts, supported by science as we know it, that are often spoken of in myths. Both can help survival in an ever-changing world.

"But it is known that gold is formed after tectonic shifts." This was my favourite line! Your poem was so profound and powerful!
