From sunrise to sunset the little caterpillar lived without fret.
Too young to fly yet too bright to hide she just inched by.
Little by little the brightness around her seemed to dim and before she knew it the little caterpillar was lost in the den.
The place she was stuck in seemed so large yet confined her in a place so small.
The caterpillar fought with excruciating strength keeping her belief she would one day be able to fly.
She fought the darkness, the nothingness, with every ounce of her being.
This is where the caterpillar acquired her lion face.
Her soul remained unstained but she realized the battle was one for a lion to face so she took the embrace.
With the face of the lion came the knowledge of a lion.
The caterpillar cried out and asked for a way; a way to break the chains.
The lion roared inside of her and somehow the caterpillar understood the unfamiliar language, closed her eyes, and turned to mush.
The sun rose and set for three days and then the cocoon set free the butterfly that held the lions face.
The face and knowledge of the lion.
The soul of the caterpillar.
The wings of a butterfly.
She realized she was to small to carry her gifts in a caterpillar state.
She had to let the darkness destroy her.
She had to trust the lions guidance that this brokenness would then bring the ability to break the chains.
Now she faces battles like a lion.
Because of her butterfly wings she remembers what she has overcame.
These memories; these transformations, give her the strength to use those beautiful butterfly wings.
So, when the darkness starts to settle and she needs to be set free she lifts her lion face and flys away.
Her wings are a vibrant sight but listen and you'll hear her roar.
