The Bridge Beyond the Rain
A poem about crossing through storms to reach the light you carry within

The rain fell hard on a weary day,
Its silver hands tried to wash me away.
Yet deep inside, I could hear you say,
“The sun will come, just don’t lose your way.”
The wind it roared with a restless cry,
It painted fear in the slate-grey sky.
But hope took flight and refused to die,
For love still burned in my steady eye.
Each step I took made the shadows fade,
The path ahead in gold was laid.
No storm could break what the heart had made,
A bond of trust that will never degrade.
At last I stood where the rivers meet,
The bridge beyond was calm and sweet.
Its wood sang low under steadfast feet,
A song of faith, both strong and neat.
And now I know when the dark feels near,
The bridge beyond will still appear.
It carries the soul past doubt and fear,
To where the heart can see so clear.
