The Borderline Slip

Falling from Grace

By Katie LaurenPublished 5 years ago Updated 4 years ago 1 min read

I was walking a tight rope, balancing so high

Getting ready to jump, almost ready to fly

Then something caught my attention from deep down below

Forgetting to breath, I listened for a second…

And down, down, down

I spiralled into an emotional sink hole

I say that I slipped, but actually I chose

To believe in the whispers of my wounded soul

Now here I sink to the bottom of an ocean

Going down, down, down

As the world collapses around me in slow motion

I've been here before, disturbingly alone

Overcome, completely taken

By a familiar shade of bleak

I slipped for just a second…

I’ve fallen from my peak
