The Blank Page

~ A Poem

I sit

I stare

I wonder

Where all the words

Have gone to

Why

Oh, why

Can't I write today?

I mumble

And I grumble

Pacing around

Think

Just think

The words

Will come

If I can settle down

Two hours

Later

I walk away

Frustrated

Dejected

The blank page

Taunts me

Unapologetically

I turn & glare

Upon its nakedness

I shall not be

Defeated!

Racing to retrieve

What I have forgotten

My favorite pen

To scribble upon the page

This is very relatable. But you can’t just force words out of you. I just listen to music when I have writer's block.
