The Blue Gaga
A poem about a blue fire lost
You danced through life with Gaga’s beat,
A rhythm fierce, a sound complete.
Yet in your heart, the song was cracked,
A wall of doubt that held you back.
I reached for you through tangled lines,
But words would twist, refuse to shine.
Our voices clashed, our meanings blurred,
Lost in the static of unheard.
Your trust was guarded, built of stone,
A castle cold, where I’d bemoan.
You’d sing of “Bad Romance” at night,
Yet fear to bask in love’s full light.
I saw the fire within your gaze,
A little monster set ablaze.
But flames would flicker, shy to burn,
A lesson I could never learn.
Our love, a costume rich and bold,
Yet seams unraveled, hard to hold.
The poker face you wore so well,
Hid truths you couldn’t bear to tell.
Now silence hums, a somber tune,
I search the stars, you search the moon.
A part of me still aches for you,
Forever lost, my Blue Gaga true.
