Pink, the ‘girl’s’ colour

Like bubblegum in my hair

My first hair dye colour

Blue, like the day’s sky

It replaced the Joker’s green

Relieved my poor mum

Purple, tone of grapes

I wear it in my hair now

It has since faded

The bi flag colours

One day I will wear them all

They’ll know me anew

An accident is

What I’ll swear in the presence

of rude homophobes

But the truth remains

My hair will be the bi flag

Three colours in stripes

Mistake me for the

Fair folk of northern legend

I’ll still be bi, though

A bi faerie, with

Wings that stretch across the flag

Beautiful, I’ll be
