The Birds of Secret Song
Don’t ask they will never tell a secret

The Birds of Secret Song
Two birds upon a branch of green
their eyes have caught what none have seen
one sings of love, one sings of night
together weaving sound in flight
The first is dressed in hearts of red
with words unspoken, things unsaid
its feathers hide a longing deep
a secret vow it swears to keep
The other dark with violet flame
no fear to speak, no need for name
its wings are sharp, its gaze is wise
a shadow clothed in bright disguise
They perch where silence breaks apart
they carve a rhythm, heart to heart
their voices cross, they twist, they meet
their music bold, their echo sweet
The leaves bear witness, flowers glow
as if the earth itself would know
that every note, both sharp and strong
was written in their lifelong song
And though the world may never see
the truth that sings eternally
two painted birds, two spirits near
speak louder than the world could hear

I've been writing poetry since the age of fourteen. With pen in hand, I wander through realms unseen. The pen holds power; ink reveals hidden thoughts. A poet may speak truth or weave a tale. You decide. Let pen and ink capture your mind❤️

We can learn a lot from nature. This is what I got from this poem. Good job.
