My favorite ink pen
How've you been?
You were waiting for me?
Patiently-
Sorry I'm late,
Would you like to hear about my day?
Good or Bad
Happy or Sad
You're always willing to listen
You note my words,
Unconcerned with what mistakes I make
Accepting of what I can't erase
Listening to what couldn't be mentioned elsewhere
I must say,
You bring me more more joy that you can ever know
I should thank you-
Thoughts flow out by means of your ink
My canvas, is slathered with dreams,
Hobbies, passions, and everything in between,
Fears, feelings, memories, regrets, and all the rest
Oh the joy of such a creative outlet
What would I ever do without you?

Personally, writing began as a creative outlet, to be a means of processing and venting emotion, but it has become so much more. Something I want not to be just relatable, enjoyable and a good read, but to reach someone who is in need.
