The Beholder
A Limitless Account for a Life in Color
By Julie FischerPublished 5 years ago • 1 min read

The Color of the Earth
Green is the color of my right eye
luscious joy
taking in the world
Healing my soul
binding my heart to my hand
Gold is the center of my earth
just glitter
I make it mine
let it shine
I see it in every space where
Seeking peace
distributing pain
in marshall roundabouts
seeking a canvas, reeling from absurdity
Can I see pigment free?
make it mine
to dye or die
Bully and Torment
Gold is the color of my left eye
I dive in to see my life there
Blended with salt and shame
The beginning would color my lenses
curse my senses
and Blanket my soul
drive my hope
harbour my expressions & deeds
dye that poisons
my world
Brings to light my charity
oh, relax my pain
What color can that possibly destroy
