This is for Mikeydred's Feburary prompt.

Love is not building something for someone else--its building something together. Michelle Liew

Bite--

Now pull.

Stop right there.

Pile the sticks up high.

I stack for her, through wind and rain.

***************************************

Gone.

Spring melts.

Currents pull

Building without pause.

Yet she wades on. And I subside.

This is a Fibonacci poem, structured on the Fibonacci mathematical sequence. Dharrhseena explains it in her lovely poem here.

The progressive structure of this form of poetry makes it useful for exploring themes like :

1. Growth and change

2. Sacrifice (like this

poem I've written

here)

3. Cycles in nature (life,

death, rebirth)

4. Emotions that involve

progressive arcs -

longing, pain

5. Transformation

6. Grief
