There is such beauty in heartbreaks,
Such raw hurt,
It's like a moment of absolute rapture,
Captured in the timeframe of your life,
The beginning is a devastating reminder,
Of the future that will never come to pass,
A sad melody of sorts that keeps tugging at your heart,
But as time passes, it becomes a memory of sorts,
To which you struggle to put a name on,
It's certainly not happy, but it's neither sad,
Reminds you of a wound long healed, which still pricks like a thorn,
