Birds of feather, oh so light
Fluttering wings, taking flight
Through the sky, they soar and play
Graceful in each and every way
From the eagle's piercing eyes
To the hummingbird's tiny size
Each has beauty all its own
Unique in the world they've flown
The robin, with its crimson breast
A symbol of new life and rest
The dove, with soft and gentle coo
Bringing peace to me and you
The owl, wise and steadfast
Guiding through the dark and vast
The hawk, fierce and strong
A symbol of courage all day long
The pelican, with its massive bill
Scoops up fish with skill and thrill
The flamingo, with its stunning pink
A sight to see, it makes us think
From the sparrow to the crane
Each bird has a special name
And each one holds a special place
In the world, they leave their trace
So let us cherish these creatures of flight
In the morning, noon, and night
For they remind us to be free
And to live with grace and majesty.
