The Balancing Act
Two cows in the yard.
One grounded, one bold.
The first stands steady.
The second climbs high.
Hooves on shoulders.
Head to the sky.
Not a circus ring.
Not a painted tent.
Just a farmyard stage.
And the sun looking on.
The farmer stares open.
The child points loud.
No trick rehearsed.
No showman’s whip.
Only cows with ideas.
And courage to spare.
The one below sighs.
Strong as a wall.
Dreaming of grass.
Dreaming of sleep.
Yet here it holds.
A pillar of fate.
The one above beams.
Queen of the barn.
High as a prayer.
High as a dare.
A cow in the clouds.
A wonder, absurd.
No ticket sold here.
No program in hand.
Just cows defying reason.
And people clapping air.
A balancing act unspoken.
A story for the town.

wonderful
What a delightfully whimsical piece! The imagery feels cinematic, I could picture the scene unfolding in a sunlit field. Such charm in simplicity.
Is this real. No way will two cows do this, but who knows. Good job.
