The Auction Date

This is How I Remember It

It all started at an auction,

At night,

It was a church activity,

Not with money,

It was with...

With...

Paper slips?

Anyway,

We all auctioned things we could do for each other,

Like me,

I offered to...

To...

What services did I promise to fulfil?

Ah,

Whatever.

The important thing is,

That a boy,

A cute boy,

Offered to take whoever purchased on a date.

I was single,

So I won the bid,

And...

And...

Not long after,

We went to a pho restaurant,

I never had it before,

I got the...

The...

A very delicious pho,

I ate it all up.

We talked about...

About...

I don't remember,

All I remember is the delicious food,

And how he kept looking,

Looking at his phone,

For that whole...

Whole...

No,

Constantly...

Constantly during that one hour,

Because of a football game.

Ughh those guys are the worst!

  • Aw! I knew it was love at first sight… until the twist at the end.😵‍💫🤣

  • Ugh, what a loser! I hate people who are always on their phone when they're supposed to spend time with us. Loved your poem!

A football game, how rude! At least you got some delicious pho! Thanks for giving me a laugh today.
