The Art of Us

I thought I was missing pieces

wasn't enough

     was broken

I am broken

and i continue to break

but what is a mosaic made of?

a multitude of broken pieces

and the more pieces

     the more complex

          the more beautiful.

all the pieces form a complete picture.

more intriguing than one solid, homogenous piece

Now I know:

I can be broken, yet still a whole picture

With each break, another facet discovered

And now, my goal is not to protect from cracking, not to wrap myself in defenses, 

but to greet life full force, shattering into newly discovered aspects of myself

And as I observe and study my infinitely fracturing image,

I also witness how my image and its shifts

and the images and shifts of others  

Become a kaleidoscope of ever changing wonder
