The Anticipation of a Close Encounter

A short window of opportunity By: Tamron Harrison

She gave license for optimism to have it's way. She got the better of me every time. Perhaps it was her nose...

It twitches when she smiles. I don't even think she knows it.

The curly hair got me.

Epiphany's of a future would often present itself. "Marry me!" made perfect sense.

We had this... "thing" ... It lived in the realm of the unspoken. Body language is a great wingman... interpreting expressions my word never could.

Maybe it's all in my head. Or maybe not. I don't know. All I know is... the kisses were real. And punches in the arm too.

The undetected hand brushes that twined the fingers to woven into holding hands.

Hold to on tight but don't squeeze.

Are we flirting? I keep these moments in the archives.

The anticipation of a close encounters has come again resembling an eclipse.

We have minutes... maybe seconds...

The physical manifestation of our potential has been created right before our eyes... words uttered from the heart need to be echoed.

Wait...

Your friends are back...

Inconvenience... I could slap you.

Writing is something that I'm learning more and more how to do. Being able to articulate my imagination and put it on paper. Hopefully, I'll be better at creating a bridge for us to better understanding to life through the stories.
