A fantasy poem

I sat beneath heaven and listened to his voice.

He was the most beautiful of God's angels.

The tears begin to sting my eyes as I listen to him sing.

His voice was so beautiful. His hair was as dark as the night sky. His eyes as red as ruby.

Although he has fallen from heaven he still had the most beautiful voice when he sang.

The tears fall from my eyes. What has made this angel that was so highly favored turn.

I began to sob and cry. I began to pray.

My chest began to hurt from the heartache.

He was so beloved by God. Where has he gone wrong.

Why did he become so prideful? Why did he become so hateful.

I take a breath and close my eyes and listen to him as he continues singing.

I try to wipe away my tears, wipe my eyes dry so he wouldn't see them.

I open my eyes as he goes silent and disappears.
