The Angel's Share
A Light-Hearted Limerick Chain about My Favorite Spirit

Whether your cup be of cider or wine
I'll always sing of this liquid divine
From malt it is torn
From cask it is born
And once poured in my glass it is mine.
And what is a bottle to bear
If it sees but a single glass there?
So I'll demonstrate class
And pour you a glass
As even angels are owed their own share.
So wait for your brandy and beer
And gather all close and near!
Come sit round the fire
Dissolve all your ire
For whiskey we revel and cheer!
