Pick yourself up

Pick yourself up

Pick yourself up

Now what would your ancestors do

What would the warriors male and female

who fought oppression and drove out

their enemies do in this situation

Pick yourself up

Pick yourself up

Pick yourself up

Turn your tears into strength

Turn your fears into joy

Turn your hurt into strength

Turn your misgivings into joy

Pick yourself up now

Pick yourself up now

Pick yourself up now

You're from kings and queens

you cannot accept defeat

Your people need a strong leader

full of wisdom and full of power

Full of intuition and full of decisions

Pick yourself up now

Pick yourself up now

Pick yourself up now

Hear all that is within you

Hear those who stand besides you

Hear those who are for you

Overwhelming those who are against you

There you go pick yourself up

There you are pick yourself up

There you go right on

And achieve your goals

Achieve your achievements

Outdo yourself and become something

You are a winner, you are the head

You are an overcomer, you are a champion

Right on, Right on, Right on Amen
