One of these mornings

I won't be late

I won't tarry

I won't faint

Cause freedom's calling me

Its calling me up yonder

Freedom is calling me

And it beckons me to come

I tried and tried to not hear

because of fear instill me

but my soul still answers

Cause freedom's calling me

Its calling me up yonder

Freedom is calling me

And it beckons me to come

So I get up out of myself

I make it to the door

and start right on my way

Something gotta be done

Cause freedom's calling me

Its calling me up yonder

Freedom is calling me

And it beckons me to come

I could hear a voice sounds like

angels all around me

They're calling me to come

So I arise early before the day breaks

and take my ancestors' place

Cause freedom's calling me

Its calling me up yonder

Freedom is calling me

And it beckons me to come

And it won't let me alone

cause freedom's calling me

I got run on child run on

Its calling me up yonder

over the hills and plains

Freedom is calling me

and I can't stop hearing

cause my people need freedom

its calling me and you.
