The Affair
What it's like to fall in love with someone incapable of love.
I wonder what she'd say
If she knew what you'd said to me
I wonder if she'd leave
If she found out you'd told me you loved me.
But she never will
Because I can't break her heart like you do
Without her knowing.
You say you love us both
But I'm not sure you can
Because now I've realised what love really is
I know what you feel isn't real.
It's a delusion, a fantasy
Where you've made yourself the hero
In a story with no happy ending.
