That's How Restored Health
Yes, I did not take anything, but avoided some things.

As such, my dear readers,
I hold a PhD and two masters,
in biosciences,
earned over,
more than 20 years,
of hard labor.
I have numerous,
academic publications,
and science career.
But my biggest learning
came when,
we had a cockroach infestation
in our apartment.
My immune system,
sensitive to the
biological allergens
couldn’t handle it.
I watched helplessly
as one by one,
my systems,
began to complain.
I have one body,
and can’t abandon it,
that's my house.
I didn’t want to go down
the rabbit hole,
of modern medicine,
where pills given.
which might ease,
the pain
but will damage organs.
So, I took it as a challenge.
If I have studied,
for all these degrees
with dedication,
I should be able,
to find a solution.
Not all hunts are
for finding treasures,
but seeking healing,
is glorious too.
I began reading a lot,
medical literature,
did scientific research,
and published papers.
I kept looking
for the hidden answer
in plain sight.
And then, one day,
it came to me.
My spouse’s deodorant mist
wafted through the air,
and choked my windpipe.
My already inflamed body
was offended,
by the smell molecules.
Eureka, Eureka
I shouted,
and negotiated with my spouse
to avoid,
all unnecessary chemicals.
Let’s see how it goes,
I said.
It took three years,
of unfaltering discipline
to bring my health
back to normalcy.
But finally,
it was restored.
Hormones in balance,
I even had
two healthy children.
And now,
as I see people fall
to cancer, multiple sclerosis,
and autoimmune diseases,
I feel like a failure.
If your allegiance
lies with Kardashian-Jenner,
other such influencers.
and not with researchers,
you will have to suffer.
You have to respect,
the body’s manual,
minimize chemicals,
and avoid suffering.
