Have you ever relied so heavily on a memory to keep you afloat?
So much so that forgetting it would be catastrophic?
That memory is what allows your heart to beat, your lungs to breathe.
Forgetting that memory might as well be forgetting yourself.
Yet, simultaneously, you wish with everything in you
That you could obliterate that memory.
Erase every neural pathway connected to that memory.
Every moment of your life linked to that memory, gone.
So you could forget all of it.
Forget that time.
Forget that place.
Forget that feeling.
Forget that emotion.
Forget that person.
That person.
About the Creator
Gypsie White
I've been writing since before I can remember. I've never had anything published. Honestly, I've never so much as allowed anyone to read what I've written. I've had several people tell me to write to process my emotions and trauma. So I am.
