I hold the world in open hands

no banners raised, no proud demands

just quiet hope where silence grows

and mercy flows where no one knows

I think of trees, of soil and rain

of children born where hearts know pain

I wish for calm where war has been

a gentler world to settle in

I see the birds, the sky, the land

and dream of days we understand

that peace is more than signed release

it’s how we live, it’s how we cease

to judge, to hate, to build a wall

I hold the world, I hold us all

not as a queen, nor saint, nor priest
