    Nice poem, Mark. I believe turkeys were inexpensive and fed a large family, so that is how it became the dish everyone thinks of at Thanksgiving. I'm sure native tribes had other dishes, especially in coastal areas, like salmon.

    Ugh. Pardon all turkeys...I prefer chicken, easier to cook and chew, Lucky families. Unlucky turkey.
