An ode to Thanksgiving

I woke up this morning overwhelmed with the breath of life.

From the man upstairs I’ve been living the best of life.

My mind is in a better place away from the shameful.

This is the season of reason and I’m oh so thankful.

I’m very blessed to be alive and not dead.

Food in my stomach and a roof over my head.

I’m blessed to move in a body of good health.

Working a good job and acquiring much wealth.

Living a beautiful life knowing love to no end.

Surrounded by a great circle of family and friends.

So much life to live with a great deal of gas in my tank.

Grateful for all I’ve been given and I just wanna give thanks.

The season’s dinner ain’t the only thing keeping my plate full.

This November I will be forever thankful.
